MATURITY

A New York native artist and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Maturity, has always been musically inclined since he was a toddler, however he began making music in 2019 during his sophomore year in college. Throughout the years, his shy, yet gentle character, became an element of surprise to others as they were unaware of his artistic talents. His music incorporates nostalgic 90s Pop and R&B sounds with futuristic undertones. His favorite influencers include The Neptunes, Timbaland, Missy Elliott and Teddy Riley, who ironically all have left their mark on the Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach areas. To portray his energetic style to the masses, he started exploring various synth and percussive sounds that reminded him of his influencers. In the end, his main goal is not for everyone to just listen to his music, he wants everyone to step inside the music. He believes "what good is music if it doesn't convey a story. It is no different than an audiobook, and I want to leave positive messages in each of my songs; to show that we all have a light to shine in the world.
